A business can't wait for the rats to leave on their own. One sighting in a dining room or a stockroom can turn into a bad inspection, a lost customer or a lost contract. Commercial rodent work is less about one big visit and more about a regular schedule: stations outside, traps inside, a log of what was found, and someone who points out the door that won't close right.

• A service log you can show a health inspector or an auditor
• Notes on sanitation and repairs: dock doors, door sweeps, gaps around pipes
• Visits on a set schedule, often monthly, more often if there's a problem

Restaurants and Food Businesses

Kitchens have food, water, warmth and back doors that open all day. Grease bins and dumpster pads draw Norway rats. Mice ride in on deliveries. Roof rats come across from neighboring roofs on a block of shared walls. A good provider will schedule visits around your hours and keep traps out of food prep areas.

Apartments and Multi-Unit Buildings

In apartments, one unit with mice usually means the units next door have them too. Treating one apartment at a time just pushes them around. Property managers get better results by treating the whole building, sealing pipe chases and trash rooms, and keeping the dumpster area clean. If you're a tenant, tell the office in writing and keep a copy.
